So that you can welcome your baby with peace of mind.MIKI HOUSE Pre-Mama/Pre-Papa Seminar” - Received the 2020 Healthy Parents and Children 21 Cabinet Office Minister of Special Missions Award -

MIKI HOUSESanki Shoko Co., Ltd., which develops brands (MIKI HOUSE:Yao City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative: Koichi Kimura)MIKI HOUSE "Pre-Mama Pre-Papa Seminar" received the 2020 Healthy Parents and Children 21 Cabinet Office Special Mission Minister's Award for Excellence in the Healthy Parents and Children Award Corporate Category.

MIKI HOUSE The Pre-Mom/Pre-Papa Seminar began with one male employee's experience raising children. After experiencing the lack of information and anxiety about childcare when preparing for childbirth,MIKI HOUSEWe planned and started a unique pre-mom/pre-papa seminar together with volunteer senior moms. While emphasizing real-life "experiences," we have improved the content to suit the times, such as holding it online during the coronavirus pandemic, and word of mouth from participants has increased, with a total of 190,000 people taking the course so far.

In addition to the seminar content that emphasizes direct communication and the unique activities that we conduct, we were highly praised for the fact that we have continued an initiative that was born from a proposal by one employee for over 10 years, which led to us receiving the award.

【MIKI HOUSEAbout the pre-mama/pre-papa seminar]
MIKI HOUSEWe are holding seminars all over the country with the hope that moms and dads who are about to welcome a baby will feel less anxious about childcare through experience, and want them to start raising their children with peace of mind.

In our seminars, we use baby dolls to teach how to hold them, how to put underwear and diapers on them, and how to bathe them. The instructor is a maternity and baby specialist.MIKI HOUSE A "Childcare Career Advisor"* serves as a staff member who provides detailed support when participants are in trouble or don't understand, and we have a system in place to immediately resolve participants' questions.

※MIKI HOUSEWhat is a childcare career advisor?MIKI HOUSEThis refers to staff who have participated in the training program (1 year) and have been certified as ``Maternity & Baby Customer Service Specialists''. Utilizing my own experience in raising children, I will be sympathetic to the consultations of maternity mothers, fathers, and their families.

Rich seminar content that deepens understanding through lectures and hands-on experience

Also held at night to make it easier for moms and dads to participate together.

Approximately 16 people attended seminars in the past year,000 pre-moms and pre-paps are participating. We have received high levels of satisfaction from those who have actually visited the venue and participated, such as ``I gained confidence and I'm glad I took part'' and ``The detailed explanations were easy to understand and gave me a sense of reality.''

From the beginning, we have placed great importance on having pre-moms and pre-pas who looked anxious at first go home with smiles on their faces. Because we live in an era where information is overflowing, we continue to work with women to directly face their concerns about childbirth and childcare through experience, and to help them start raising their children in a positive manner.

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, we are also holding video seminars once a month to meet the needs of people who are afraid of going to crowded places due to the risk of infection, but who want to hear about childbirth preparation properly. We will send you diaper samples so that you can watch the video and practice safely at home, so that you can try it out using tissue boxes, stuffed animals, etc. that you already have at home.

[Aiming for zero “dropouts”]
When recruiting in major areas such as Tokyo and Osaka, we receive over 200 applicants from approximately 100 groups on weekdays, and over 500 applicants from 250 groups on weekends. However, since the person in charge of the seminar started the seminar because of his own experience of ``failing'' in the parents' class, we would like to receive as many applications as possible. We are increasing the number of seminars so that more people can attend them, giving priority to those who are unable to attend the seminars at a later date, and offering video streaming seminars to those who live far away, to ensure that no one is unable to attend the seminars.

[Examples of initiatives with companies and local governments]
In recent years, we have been increasingly holding seminars together with requests from companies, local governments, and obstetrics and gynecology departments.

In a tie-up with Toyo Rice Co., Ltd., which produces Kinmemai and Kinme Low-Cut Brown Rice, the seminar included a special program that used a kitchen studio to learn about the deliciousness and nutrition of rice, as well as a fun experience of making baby food using rice flour.

In collaboration with Okayama Prefecture, which is working to foster awareness among men and women to work together to raise children, in addition to the contents of the pre-mom and pre-papa seminars, we invited senior mothers and fathers who have actually taken childcare leave to hold talk sessions, which provided an opportunity for couples to think about sharing housework and childcare duties and taking childcare leave.

By not only holding events independently, but also by collaborating with companies and co-sponsoring with local governments and obstetrics and gynecology departments, we continue to create places to communicate and listen, and aim to create a society and environment in which it is easier for all of society to have and raise children.

In the future, we would like to continue to improve the content of our seminars to meet the needs of the times and further enrich them. We will help create a society where moms and dads can start raising children with peace of mind by addressing postpartum issues such as disaster prevention measures, nutritional education, oral health, and tooth brushing for families with babies. Through our efforts, we want to convey that life with children is fun and bright.MIKI HOUSEThese are my thoughts.
